Montini Catholic, congratulated its Broncette Dance Team for bringing home the 3rd Place trophy in the IHSA Competitive Dance Finals (Class 1A). The competition was held at the Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington on January 25th and 26th.

"We couldn't be more proud of our team!" said Coach Eugenia Scavone. "It was such a positive experience and the girls really focused and commanded that floor on Saturday in the Finals. There was so much energy coming from their performance and the theme of 'Queens' was so fun to bring life! We couldn't be more excited to have been recognized among all the talented teams we competed against."

"Being on Broncettes for the last four years has been such an unreal experience," said senior Isabella (Bella) Florio. "I have performed at many basketball and football games and competed at a good number of competitions, but none of those performances felt as amazing as this, my last performance ever on the state floor. It is such a huge deal to make it state, let alone place on podium!! I am so proud and love my team! Wohoo!"

Coach Scavone informed that this year was a very special one for Bronco seniors, Bella Florio and Tori Scavone. "They were only freshman the first year we transitioned over to IHSA for competitive dance. They were on that first year of uncharted waters as we brought our pom dance routine to IHSA and we have stayed true to our style," she said. "Their career as Broncettes is 5th in State 2016, 4th in State 2017, 3rd in State 2018 and 3rd in State 2019! We are so happy that we were able to podium one more time!"
