Tammy's advice for students is to study hard, get good grades, start your network and mentors in this sector at a young age, and get involved in Sports. It will help you learn to juggle priorities, be competitive, overcome adversity, and work together as a team. Building your mentoring network early will help you make the best choices to see career paths before you choose schools or curriculum. Personally, I believe my foundation in academics (high-school through grad school), business acumen, networking, and involvement in sports, have contributed greatly to my success. The Cyber Security Career path is constantly changing and there is a shortage of strong Cyber Security talent. You can have a Business degree, Cyber Security degree, or Information Technology degree to be in this market.

Tammy has a thirst for continuing knowledge. "You must always build your personal brand and be a student of the Cyber Industry (attack vectors, latest threats, staying informed on the insurance competitors, cyber analytics/vendors, insurance coverages, and the client needs). I am honored to be a key consultant and educator with my large insurance brokers and high-profile clients. "I take that responsibility personally and turn it into the best deliverables and relationships with my clients."

All aspects of teamwork, collaboration and continuing education are vital to her growth and career progression. Building a network team of trusted peers including Chief Security Officers, Cyber Security Consultants, Data Breach and Privacy Attorneys, London Insurance Market Peers, Large National Insurance Brokers, as well as my clients C-Suites and Risk Management have all helped foster her career.

"My clients do business with people they like and trust, respect as professionals with technical Cyber Security and Business acumen, and those that provide outstanding service. I am helping alongside the Team to win more customers, offer them my best proposal, and helping their business get back on its feet if a breach occurs. I see a strong correlation to this in relation to a student's involvement in School and Sports. I have a lot on my plate, but I would not trade it. I absolutely love my job. I get to meet, collaborate, analyze and protect some of the largest and most complex companies in the US. However, helping people protect their companies and also helping people to protect their personal identity and get involved in an every expanding career, is really at the core, and that is what makes me love it the most."
