Students Receive Voice of Democracy Award

All high school students in Lombard are invited to compete in the Voice of Democracy Scholarship Competition that has been sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars for over 60 years.  Competition begins during the start of the fall season of the school year.  The winning student nationally earns a trip to Washington D.C. and a $30,000 scholarship, plus additional awards at the Post, District, and State Levels.  Montini students received US Savings Bonds as awards on the Post level.

Kevin James is an honor student from Wheaton.  At Montini Catholic, Kevin is a member of the Student Government’s Executive Board.

Brian Frank is a high honor junior from Woodridge.  At Montini Catholic, Brian is a member of the National Honor Society, the Lasallian Youth Group, the Track & Field Team, and Obscure Sports Club.  He is also a School Broadcaster, a Eucharistic Minister, and is a participating member of the Bronco Rambler Newspaper Club, Computer Club, Drama Club, and Film Club.
