Wrestlers, Girls Basketball and Poms Win State!
The wrestling team won 2A State Championship on February 27th at Illinois State University. The team defeated Marmion Academy, Champaign Central and Crystal Lake Central to take home the gold. The Girls Basketball team won their first State Championship on March 6 at Illinois State. The girls beat Springfield High School and Hillcrest to win their First Place Trophy. The Broncettes finished 1st in Pom and 2nd in Open Pom at the TDI Championship on March 7th in Peoria. Congrats to all the Bronco teams!

Alumni Networking Meeting on Tuesday, March 10
If you are in the area, please join us for a networking meeting of alumni, parents, alumni parents and friends. Business leads, job opportunities and more are discussed in the meeting. We will meet every second Wednesday of the month in De La Salle Hall on Montini's campus at 7:30 AM.

Senior Earns $104,000 in Scholarships
Senior, Kevin Dailey, has earned academic scholarships that total $104,000 towards college. Kevin has earned the National Scholars Award to the University of Iowa, the President's Merit Scholarship to the University of Dayton, and the Ignatius Academic Achievement Scholarship to Marquette University. Kevin is a high honor senior from Downers Grove. He is a member of the State Championship Football Team, the Boys Basketball Team, the Track & Field Team, and the Spanish Club. Kevin is also the Secretary of the National Honor Society.

Our Condolences...
We are sad to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Connie Thompson, wife of Mr. Charles Thompson. Mrs. Thompson is the mother of Jerry '73, Matt '76, Marty '80 and Maggie '81, and is also the mother-in-law of Peggy (McSweeney) Thompson '75. Mrs. Thompson will be waked at Brust Funeral Home in Lombard on Friday, March 12 from 3-8 PM and a mass will be held at Christ the King Church on Saturday, March 13 at 11:30 AM.

Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
Congratulations to the seven alumni that will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 1, 2010: Lisa (Ballarini) Festle '83, John Frendreis '71, Mike Gilmartin '86, Steve Klafeta '90, Kelly Kramer '86, Rich Monis '87 and Dick Schroeder '74.

Reps Needed for Upcoming Events
Are you from the class of 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995 or 2000? We are starting to plan your reunions this fall, but we need help! Reps attend a few meetings, plan their reunions and get in contact with classmates.

Are you a golfer? Did you enjoy the Bronco Classic last year? Do you have ideas for contests or prizes? Come help us make this year even better by joining our committee. Sponsorships, auction donations and foursome solicitations are our areas that we work in.

Teachers Celebrate 10 Years at Montini Catholic
Dr. Lawrence Misialek, Science Teacher, and Mrs. Roberta Raike, Spanish Teacher, celebrate their 10th anniversary year of dedication and service to the students and community of Montini Catholic. Dr. Misialek earned his Doctorates from National University of Health Science, his Masters in Biology from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Lewis University. He is currently teaching Advanced Placement Biology, Environmental Science, and Anatomy & Physiology at Montini Catholic and teaching Microbiology & Biology at the College of DuPage. Mrs. Roberta Raike is the Foreign Language Department Chair at Montini Catholic. She earned her Masters Degree from Concordia University and her Bachelor Degree from Northern Illinois University.
