Bronco Football Wins State and Sportmanship Award
The Broncos defeated Joliet Catholic Academy to win the Illinois High School Association's Class 5A Football State Championship! This team has proven to be True Champions as their team has earned the 2009 Suburban Catholic Conference (SCC) Sportsmanship Award, which was voted by their peers. Congratulations to the team and Coach Chris Andriano!

Broncos are in the Giving Spirit this Season
The Broncos started off the holiday season by participating in the annual Golden Gobbler Food Drive as a class competition. Over the past ten years, students have collected over 215,000 items for local food pantries and shelters around the Thanksgiving Holiday. A few of the local places that received the 20,000+ items this year were York Center Food Pantry, Woodridge Community Pantry, Holy Trinity Church, FISH Food Pantry, St. Pius X Church Food Pantry, Sacred Heart Food Pantry, and St. Mary of Gostyn Food Pantry. The campus ministry team saves some of the food to go towards the Adopt-a-Families that the students care for during the holidays as well. This year 27 families will receive presents and food from the Broncos to have a happy and full Christmas. The Drama Club also raises money to make blankets for each of the adopted families, so their winter season may be a warm one.

Lady Broncos Sign for the Future
Montini Catholic High School is proud to announce that on Wednesday, November 11th, three of their girls basketball players have officially signed to play Division I Basketball. Michala Johnson is a senior honor student. She has been sought after by nearly every Division I College/University for her basketball talent. After visiting many college programs and with careful consideration, Michala has signed to play basketball for Division I Basketball powerhouse University of Connecticut. Senior Alison Seberger has signed her commitment to play basketball for Illinois State University. Alison is an honor student from Geneva. When she is not playing basketball, Allison is a class representative for Montini’s Student Government. Courtney Thomas, a senior, has signed to play basketball for Marquette University. Courtney is a high honor student from Glenview. When she is not playing basketball, she is a contributing member of the National Honor Society program. Our Placement Test for the Class of 2014 is soon approaching! Do you know of an 8th Grader that would like to become a Bronco next year? The Pre-test will be held on Thursday, January 7th and the test will be on Saturday, January 9th at 8:30 AM. Applications must be turned in before the test can be taken.
